James Weinstein Critically Injured in Pierce County Hit-and-Run Incident
James Weinstein, a 32-year-old resident of Pierce County, Washington, was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident on Canyon Road. The incident occurred late Friday night as Weinstein was returning home from a Seattle Mariners game. According to reports, Weinstein was struck by a truck while attempting to retrieve a pair of sunglasses he had dropped on the road. The truck briefly slowed down but then fled the scene. Subsequently, another vehicle hit Weinstein, but the driver of this vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Weinstein sustained severe injuries, including a broken clavicle, femur, and arm, as well as a severed artery in his leg. He was rushed to a hospital where he underwent multiple surgeries. The police have linked debris found at the scene to a 1994-2000 Chevy Silverado. Weinstein's family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to assist with his medical expenses and lost income.
