Gates Foundation's Extensive Meetings with Jeffrey Epstein Revealed in External Review
An external review commissioned by the Gates Foundation has uncovered that there were approximately 30 meetings between Jeffrey Epstein and foundation leaders, including Bill Gates, from 2011 to 2014. Despite concerns raised by staff about the reputational risks of associating with Epstein, who had a prior conviction, these meetings continued. The review was initiated following the release of documents by the Justice Department that included references to Gates and his interactions with Epstein. The foundation has since expressed regret over any engagement with Epstein and has implemented new measures to enhance its vetting and risk management processes. The review, conducted by the law firm WilmerHale, found no evidence of the foundation's involvement in or knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities.
