Marine Le Pen Leads in Polls for France's 2027 Presidential Election
Marine Le Pen, leader of the French far-right National Rally party, is currently leading in the polls for the 2027 French presidential election. According to a July Ifop-Fiducial poll, Le Pen is predicted to win the highest portion of votes, with 36% of the electorate's support. This comes after a Paris appeals court reduced her 2025 ban on running for public office, which was initially imposed due to embezzlement of EU funds. Le Pen's candidacy marks her fourth successive presidential campaign. The poll indicates that she is ahead of her main rivals, including Edouard Philippe, Gabriel Attal, and Jean-Luc Mélenchon. In every scenario tested for the second round of voting, Le Pen is projected to win.
