Spencer Pratt's Lead Over Nithya Raman Narrows in Los Angeles Mayoral Race
In the Los Angeles mayoral primary, Spencer Pratt's lead over Nithya Raman has significantly diminished following a new batch of ballot counts. Pratt, a former reality TV star, saw his advantage shrink to just 7,494 votes, down from over 20,000 the previous day. This shift comes as approximately 78% of the ballots have been counted. Raman, a progressive City Councilmember, gained 23,514 votes in the latest count, more than doubling Pratt's gain of 10,336. Her share of the vote increased from 24.9% to 26.2%, while Pratt's decreased from 28.2% to 27.3%. Incumbent Mayor Karen Bass remains in the lead with 34.8% of the votes. The results have introduced uncertainty into what was previously seen as a clear path for Pratt to the November runoff.
