Congressional Candidate Utilizes AI for Personalized Voter Engagement in Kentucky
David Kloiber, a Democratic candidate for Congress, has implemented an innovative approach in his campaign by using artificial intelligence to generate personalized letters to tens of thousands of Democratic voters in Kentucky. The AI-powered app, developed by Kloiber and his associate Tom Szczygielski, tailors messages based on voters' work, neighborhood, and voting history. This initiative aims to connect with voters on a personal level by linking the messages to specific legislative proposals Kloiber plans to introduce if elected. The app uses anonymized voter data to create messages in Kloiber's voice, which are then personalized with the voters' details. Despite some voters finding the AI-generated letters 'creepy' or inaccurate, others appreciated the personalized touch. The campaign, which has been largely self-funded, spent approximately $50,000 on this AI initiative.
