University of Illinois Springfield to Host Dual Commencement Ceremonies for 1,020 Graduates
The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) is set to celebrate its 55th annual commencement with two separate ceremonies on May 9 at the Bank of Springfield Center. A total of 1,020 students will participate out of 1,561 eligible graduates. The first ceremony, scheduled for 12:30 p.m., will honor graduates from the College of Health, Science and Technology, and the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The second ceremony, at 5:30 p.m., will recognize graduates from the College of Business and Management and the College of Public Affairs and Education. Tickets are required for attendance, and overflow seating with live streaming will be available for guests without tickets. The event will also be webcast live. An honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree will be awarded to W. Robert Felker, a UIS alumnus with a distinguished career in finance.
