Everett Ice Cream Shop Gains National Attention After Jeopardy! Feature
The Igloo, an ice cream shop located in Everett, Pennsylvania, recently gained national attention after being featured in an episode of the popular game show Jeopardy!. The shop was mentioned under the 'Novelty Architecture' category, where contestants were asked about a dome-shaped structure in Everett. Despite the clue, none of the contestants could identify the Igloo, which is known locally for its unique architecture resembling a sundae. Owned by Paula and Kenny Clingerman, the shop has been a staple in the community for 30 years. The Igloo was originally built in 1977 as a showpiece for modular homes but was later converted into an ice cream shop in 1994. The Clingermans purchased it in 1996 and have since operated it, expanding to a second location in New Paris. The Jeopardy! mention has sparked excitement and support from the local community, with many expressing their surprise and pride on social media.
