Becerra's campaign has been bolstered by the withdrawal of Eric Swalwell from the race, allowing him to capture more attention and support. His campaign emphasizes inclusivity and progressive values, aiming to appeal to a broad spectrum of California voters. Meanwhile, Republican candidate Steve Hilton is focusing on consolidating Republican votes, warning that a vote for fellow Republican Chad Bianco could inadvertently benefit Democrats. Despite President Trump's endorsement of Hilton, Becerra's campaign is gaining momentum, with political analysts noting the increasing negativity from other campaigns as a sign of his growing threat.
