IDF Soldiers Indicted for Espionage on Behalf of Iranian Intelligence
Two Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers have been indicted for allegedly engaging in espionage activities on behalf of Iranian intelligence. The soldiers, who served as technicians at an Israeli Air Force base, were reportedly in contact with Iranian agents via Telegram. They are accused of providing sensitive information about military aircraft and radar systems. The indictment details various tasks the soldiers were asked to perform, including photographing military equipment and locations, and attempting to gather intelligence on high-ranking Israeli officials. The soldiers allegedly received payments through PayPal for their activities, which included photographing a fighter jet and control towers, and were asked to burn a photo of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The investigation was conducted by the Sharon District Police's major crimes unit, the Shin Bet security agency, and the IDF.
