Good Samaritan Attacked After Intervening in NYC Dog Fight, Suspects Flee
A 47-year-old man was attacked in Harlem, New York City, after attempting to intervene in a fight between two dog owners. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on West 125th Street near Malcolm X Boulevard. The victim noticed two dogs becoming aggressive with each other, which led to their owners engaging in a physical altercation. When the man stepped in to help, a man and a woman, who were walking one of the dogs, turned on him. The suspects pepper-sprayed the victim and then slashed him on the face and hand with a sharp object. The victim was subsequently taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. The attackers fled the scene on foot, heading east on 125th Street. Surveillance footage captured the suspects on the subway, with the man wearing a black ski mask and the woman in a camouflage headband and dark shades.
