American Water Charitable Foundation Awards Grants to Iowa Organizations for Environmental Projects
The American Water Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Iowa American Water, has announced the awarding of grants to six organizations in Iowa as part of its 2026 Water and Environment grant initiative. The grants, totaling over $57,000, are aimed at supporting environmental projects across the state. Notable recipients include the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois, which received $20,000 for a program engaging girls in climate science and river ecology, and Partners of Scott County Watersheds, awarded $15,990 for water quality monitoring. Other beneficiaries include the Clinton Substance Abuse Council, River Action, Inc., Keep Scott County Beautiful, and the Bettendorf Community School District. These grants are part of the Foundation's broader effort to promote water conservation, environmental education, and community engagement.
