Italian Filmmakers Advocate for Spin Time Amid Housing Crisis
A group of prominent Italian filmmakers, including Leonardo Di Costanzo, Marco Bellocchio, and Carlo Verdone, have signed an appeal in support of Spin Time, a cultural and residential project in Rome. Spin Time, which houses approximately 400 people, was recently placed under judicial seizure following a fire. The appeal highlights Spin Time as a model alternative addressing housing emergencies and serving as a cultural hub. The building includes an auditorium, recording studio, and other cultural facilities. The signatories emphasize the urgent need for solutions as residents, including vulnerable groups like the elderly and children, face harsh conditions on the streets.
