314 Action Launches Campaign Against Rep. Miller-Meeks Over Healthcare Costs in Iowa
314 Action, an organization dedicated to electing scientists and engineers, has initiated a $750,000 accountability campaign against Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa's 1st Congressional District. The campaign, which runs from August 11 to August 24, utilizes television, digital, and mail advertising to highlight Miller-Meeks' support for policies that allegedly increase healthcare costs in Iowa. The organization accuses her of siding with insurance companies and President Trump, rather than advocating for Iowans on healthcare issues. Miller-Meeks, a physician and former Director of Public Health, has been criticized for supporting initiatives that could strip healthcare coverage from thousands of Iowans.
