Fayette County Chamber Promotes Youth Entrepreneurship Through Lemonade Day Program
The Fayette County Chamber, through its nonprofit arm, the Fayette Community & Leadership Foundation, is promoting youth entrepreneurship with the Lemonade Day program. This initiative aims to teach young people essential business skills through the simple act of running a lemonade stand. Since its inception in 2007, Lemonade Day has impacted over a million children nationwide, focusing on financial literacy, goal setting, and accountability. This year, the program is expanding to include a virtual experience via the My Lemonade Day app for elementary students and a week-long in-person entrepreneurship camp for middle school students. The program emphasizes community involvement, encouraging local business leaders to mentor and support young participants.
