FAO Director and Nepal's Agriculture Minister Discuss Agricultural Cooperation
Hua Yang, Director of the Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO) South-South and Triangular Cooperation Division, met with Nepal's Minister for Agriculture, Forests and Environment, Gita Chaudhary, to discuss enhancing agricultural cooperation. The meeting, held at the Ministry in Singha Durbar, focused on food security, agricultural transformation, and sustainable agriculture-food systems. Minister Chaudhary expressed Nepal's willingness to expand cooperation to transform its agriculture sector, strengthen food security, and mobilize international financial resources. Discussions also covered cross-border animal disease control, climate-resilient agricultural development, and promoting the export of high-value agricultural products.
