Mehdi Hasan Launches Independent Media Company Zeteo Following MSNBC Show Cancellation
Mehdi Raza Hasan, a British-American journalist, broadcaster, author, and media entrepreneur, has launched a new independent media company named Zeteo. This development follows the cancellation of his show, 'The Mehdi Hasan Show,' by MSNBC in November 2023, which had also aired on Peacock. Hasan, known for his fact-driven interview style and willingness to challenge powerful figures, quickly established Zeteo as a crowdfunded platform. Within weeks of its launch, Zeteo garnered over 55,000 paid subscribers. Hasan serves as the founder, CEO, and editor-in-chief of Zeteo. Prior to his tenure at MSNBC, Hasan hosted 'UpFront' and 'Head to Head' on Al Jazeera English and the 'Deconstructed' podcast for The Intercept. He also previously held positions as political editor of The Huffington Post UK and editor of news and current affairs at Channel 4. His 2023 book, 'Win Every Argument: The Art of Debating, Persuading, and Public Speaking,' became a national bestseller.
