Madhesh Province to Implement Integrated Agriculture Program to Boost Productivity
The Madhesh Province in Nepal is set to launch an integrated model agriculture program across 10 local units, as announced by Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Geeta Chaudhary. This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity and improve services for farmers by focusing on agricultural research, technology transfer, and organic farming. The program will prioritize technical support, farmer training, advisory services, and the transfer of agricultural technologies. Minister Chaudhary emphasized the need to shift from policy formulation to implementation, aiming to bring research outcomes directly to farmers' fields. The program is designed to increase agricultural production and provide practical knowledge on modern farming technologies. The federal government has pledged to prioritize recommendations from the Madhesh provincial government to ensure effective coordination and resource mobilization.
