Jeffrey Epstein's Advisers Face Uncertainty Over Bequests Amid Ongoing Litigation and Dwindling Estate
Seven years after Jeffrey Epstein's death, his estate, initially valued at $655.1 million, has significantly dwindled to $107.6 million due to victim compensation, legal fees, and taxes. His closest advisers, Darren Indyke (longtime attorney) and Richard Kahn (in-house accountant), who are also co-executors of his estate, are facing fresh lawsuits from victims. These lawsuits allege that Indyke and Kahn played critical roles in enabling Epstein’s sex trafficking operation by providing financial and legal support. Despite being named as beneficiaries in Epstein's trust, with Indyke slated to receive $50 million and Kahn $25 million, the ongoing litigation and depleted funds make it increasingly unlikely they will receive these bequests. A federal judge recently ordered a social media campaign to inform victims of a $35 million settlement and a new 60-day notice period for claims. Indyke and Kahn deny any knowledge or involvement in Epstein's crimes.
