Man Arrested for DUI After Crashing into Redmond Crosswalk, Police Issue Public Safety Reminder
A man was arrested in Redmond, Washington, on Thursday after allegedly driving under the influence and crashing his vehicle into a crosswalk. According to the Redmond Police Department, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash at approximately 6:30 p.m. at 148th Avenue NE and NE 87th Street. Upon contact with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. The man's blood alcohol content was reportedly more than twice the legal limit. Images released by the police show damage to the underside of the vehicle, consistent with driving over a median, and a pedestrian sign on the ground, suggesting it was knocked over during the incident. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
