ResilienX and GrandSKY Collaborate on Project ULTRA to Enhance UAS Integration in U.S. Airspace
ResilienX has partnered with GrandSKY to support the integration and operational evaluation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) as part of Project ULTRA. Sponsored by the Office of Undersecretary of War for Acquisitions and Sustainment, this initiative aims to assess advanced capabilities for integrating UAS into shared airspace. ResilienX will provide engineering integration and operational modeling support using its AAM OptiX digital infrastructure, functioning as a Federal UAS Service Supplier. The project focuses on modeling data integration, enabling system interoperability, and supporting simulated operational scenarios. According to ResilienX CEO Andrew Carter, Project ULTRA is crucial for advancing uncrewed military drones into U.S. national airspace, exploring requirements for defense and commercial drones to operate beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS). The AAM OptiX platform offers federal capabilities like a common operating picture, strategic deconfliction, and conformance monitoring, which are ...
