Injured Bald Eagle Believed to be Jackie Rescued in Big Bear
An injured bald eagle, believed to be Jackie, a well-known member of Big Bear's bald eagle couple, was rescued after an altercation with two other eagles. The incident occurred at Dana Point Park, where the eagle was seen fending off the others but was unable to fly far. The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation's San Dimas Raptor Rescue team intervened, taking the eagle to a rehabilitation facility for treatment. Although the eagle's condition remains undisclosed, the Friends of Big Bear Valley, a local nonprofit, speculated that the rescued eagle is likely Jackie, as she had not been seen at her nest for several days. The group monitors the nest via a live stream but could not confirm the eagle's identity due to the lack of a band.
