Eugene Man Arrested Following Three-Day Deli Crime Spree
Raymond Anthony Wilson, a 59-year-old Eugene man, has been arrested and arraigned in Lane County Circuit Court following a three-day crime spree targeting local delis. The incidents began on August 27 at Anna's Deli on Coburg Road, where Wilson, a new employee, allegedly stole over $500 from video lottery machines. The following day, August 28, a second burglary occurred at Sandy's Deli on Barger Drive, owned by the same individual, where Wilson allegedly used keys to enter and steal over $900. The crime spree culminated on August 29 with an armed robbery at Anna's Deli on Royal Avenue. During this incident, Wilson reportedly threatened an employee with a gun, demanding cash register keys, and instructed the employee to hide in a bathroom. After a physical altercation with the employee and another patron, Wilson fled in a black SUV. Police located the vehicle, leading to a brief chase before Wilson was apprehended at gunpoint.
