Los Angeles School Implements 'Zen Den' to Support Student Emotional Well-being and Academic Success
The School of Business and Tourism in Los Angeles has established a 'Zen Den,' a dedicated space designed to help students process emotions, reflect, and relax in a calm and safe environment. This initiative was inspired by training that emphasized the importance of physical learning environments for student inclusivity and well-being. Housed within the Community School Coordinator's (CSC) office and funded through community school resources, the Zen Den is equipped with cushioned chairs, a table, journals, drawing and painting supplies, tactile materials like sculpting clay, and a wall display featuring affirming messages.
