Firefighters Prevent Cross Lake Shed Fire from Spreading to Nearby Home
A shed fire at Cross Lake, Maine, was swiftly contained by North Lakes Fire and Rescue, preventing damage to an adjacent home. The fire occurred at 2297 Caribou Road on property owned by Leo Trudel. Chief Darren Woods reported that the quick response, initiated by a 911 call, was crucial in saving the structure and nearby wood line. The fire had begun to spread to surrounding tall grass and was threatening the home. The crew managed to contain the flames to the shed, which was destroyed, and prevent further spread. No injuries were reported, and the Maine fire marshal's office is investigating the incident.
