Digital Canberra Appoints Dr. Christina Igasto as Inaugural Director-General
Digital Canberra, a newly-formed directorate within the ACT government, has appointed Dr. Christina Igasto as its inaugural director-general. Dr. Igasto, who is currently the chief digital officer at Service NSW, will assume her new role on May 25. This appointment marks a significant step for Digital Canberra, which is responsible for overseeing digital technology, data, and security systems across the ACT government. Dr. Igasto's experience includes leading digital transformation initiatives across more than 80 NSW government agencies, focusing on agile, cyber-secure, and product-driven delivery practices. Her leadership is expected to drive the strategic programs necessary to meet complex business and community needs under the NSW digital strategy. Bettina Konti, who has been serving as the interim director-general, will transition to the role of deputy director-general.
