Georgetown Woman Arrested for Alleged Tax Evasion Totaling Over $12,000
Kissha Nagai Taimee Reed, 53, of Georgetown, South Carolina, has been arrested and charged with three counts of tax evasion. The South Carolina Department of Revenue alleges that Reed intentionally withheld documents from her employer, claiming exemption from state income tax. According to arrest warrants, Reed earned a gross income of $81,850 in 2022, $91,616 in 2023, and $121,112 in 2024. This action caused her to avoid paying $3,286 in state income taxes in 2022, $3,807 in 2023, and $5,893 in 2024. Over these three years, Reed's taxable income in South Carolina was at least $253,178, resulting in a total of $12,986 in unpaid income tax. She is currently booked at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
