Kentucky Lt. Gov. Coleman Joins NLGA to Recognize Agriculture's Economic Impact
Kentucky Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, alongside other lieutenant governors, has co-sponsored a resolution at the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) meeting to recognize the vital role of agriculture in the U.S. economy. The resolution highlights agriculture's contributions, including over 48 million jobs and $3 trillion in wages. In Kentucky, agriculture is a significant economic driver, with nearly 70,000 farms contributing $50 billion annually. Lt. Gov. Coleman, who will soon chair the NLGA, has been a strong advocate for agriculture, emphasizing the need for educational initiatives to expose students to agricultural careers.
