Israeli Electric Company Introduces AI-Powered Robot for Power Line Maintenance
The Israeli Electric Company, in collaboration with Axioma Robotics, has developed an advanced maintenance robot designed to operate in high-voltage line environments. This robot, equipped with artificial intelligence and machine learning, is intended to perform maintenance tasks without interrupting electricity flow and reducing risks to human workers. The robot features high-resolution cameras and a LiDAR sensor for precise navigation and can perform tasks such as installing line accessories, handling damaged conductors, and trimming vegetation. The project represents a significant investment and aims to enhance safety and efficiency in electricity infrastructure maintenance.
