Liberia Secures $125 Million for Digital and Infrastructure Projects
Liberia has signed $125 million in financing agreements with the World Bank to enhance digital connectivity, renewable energy, and road infrastructure. The funding will support three key initiatives: the Western Africa Regional Digital Integration Programme (WARDIP 2), the Regional Emergency Solar Power Intervention Project (RESPITE), and the Southeastern Corridor Road Asset Management Project (SECRAMP). These projects aim to expand broadband access, strengthen cybersecurity, promote digital entrepreneurship, and improve road infrastructure. The agreements align with Liberia's ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development, focusing on infrastructure strengthening and economic growth.
