Israel Issues New Displacement Orders in Southern Lebanon Amid Fragile Ceasefire
Israel's military has issued new displacement orders to residents in southern Lebanon, affecting over 10 villages and towns, including areas beyond its current zone of occupation. This action comes despite a US-brokered ceasefire intended to halt hostilities with Hezbollah. The Israeli military has instructed residents to evacuate their homes and move at least 1,000 meters into open areas. The ceasefire, in place since mid-April, has been described as ineffective, with ongoing military operations and bombings reported. The situation remains tense, with recent drone attacks resulting in casualties among Israeli soldiers.
