Severe Storm Recovery Efforts Underway in Fox Cities, Wisconsin
The Fox Cities region in Wisconsin is recovering from severe storm damage that occurred on July 27, 2026. Volunteer Fox Cities has set up a Volunteer Reception Center at the UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus in Menasha to coordinate relief efforts. The center is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with volunteer check-ins closing at 3:00 PM. Volunteers with construction and chainsaw experience are especially needed. The community has shown overwhelming generosity, with donations pouring in. However, the donation center has reached its capacity for bottled water and is now prioritizing items such as tarps, Gatorade, flashlights, and cleaning supplies. Residents affected by the storm can access donated items at the donation center, where interpreters and emotional support volunteers are available. Financial donations are also encouraged to provide flexibility in addressing changing needs. (Source: Volunteer Fox Cities, published on August 2, 2026, at 16:00 GMT)
