College Station Firefighter Grayson Brock Receives Community Support Amid Cancer Battle
College Station firefighter Grayson Brock has been diagnosed with cancer, prompting a community-wide effort to support him and his family. Grayson, the son of retired College Station Police Department Lieutenant Steve Brock, recently underwent surgery where it was discovered that the cancer had spread. He is scheduled to begin chemotherapy soon. Due to the anticipated long-term treatment and time away from work, the College Station Professional Firefighters Association is organizing a 5K fundraiser. The event, named Brock’s Cancer Fight 5K, is set to take place on August 29 at the TEEX Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station. Registration for the race begins at 7:00 a.m., with the race starting at 8:00 a.m. Additionally, a profit-share benefit will be held at The Angry Elephant in College Station from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to further support Grayson and his family.
