Rosie O'Donnell served as a guest host for 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Monday evening, using her opening monologue to address her long-standing feud with President Trump. O'Donnell, who has been a vocal critic of President Trump for decades, stated that his presidency prompted her to move to Ireland for two years. She recounted a story about her child informing their class that they were moving because 'the president of the United States hates my mother,' adding, 'But in all fairness, I believe my mother hates him more.' Throughout her monologue, O'Donnell avoided directly naming President Trump, instead referring to him with veiled remarks and a direct address to the camera, saying, 'Hi, I know you’re watching!' She concluded her segment by suggesting President Trump was 'in the White House crying 'cause I haven’t mentioned him.' This appearance follows Jimmy Kimmel's announcement earlier in the summer that O'Donnell would be among a group of guest hosts filling in during his break.
