Lexington Police Investigate Series of Overnight Shootings Resulting in Two Fatalities and Two Injuries
Lexington, Kentucky, experienced a series of four shootings between Friday night and Saturday morning, resulting in two deaths and two injuries. The first incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Friday when a man arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound; the location of this shooting is still under investigation. Early Saturday morning, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to an apartment complex on Redding Road where they found a man fatally shot. Less than an hour later, around 3:30 a.m., a woman sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds on Ohio Street. The fourth incident, reported around 4:15 a.m. on Cross Keys Road, involved another man found dead from a gunshot wound. All four incidents are currently under active investigation by the Lexington Police Department, and no further details have been released at this time.
