NATO's Cyber Defense Efforts Focus on Strengthening Interoperability and Security
NATO's Cyber and Digital Transformation Division is spearheading efforts to enhance cybersecurity and cyber defense capabilities across the Alliance. The division is responsible for translating NATO's priorities into coherent strategies to bolster interoperability, resilience, and operational effectiveness. The focus is on developing Capability Architecture products and maintaining cyber capability architectures, including CIS-Security and cryptography. The division collaborates closely with industry and academia to stay updated on the latest cybersecurity developments. The NATO multinational interoperability exercise, CWIX, plays a crucial role in testing and improving the digital interoperability of armed forces, involving national systems in multinational command, control, communications, and information systems in realistic operational environments.
