Army Unit Offers Four-Day Pass for GTA VI Reenlistment Incentive
An Army unit at Fort Stewart, Georgia, specifically the 9th Brigade Engineer Battalion, is offering soldiers a special four-day pass to coincide with the release of 'Grand Theft Auto VI' (GTA VI) if they reenlist. This incentive, confirmed by Army officials, is available to soldiers who reenlist between August 1 and November 14, 2026. The pass dates will be coordinated with the soldiers' chain of command to align with the game's official release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox. This initiative aims to boost reenlistment numbers, particularly among younger soldiers, as part of the unit's fiscal year 2027 reenlistment goals. As of Monday, 20 out of 130 eligible soldiers in the battalion had accepted the offer, committing to an additional two to six years of service. The 'Grand Theft Auto' franchise is renowned for its open-world format, combining crime-related missions with side quests.
