Raytheon Technologies Accelerates Patriot Radar Delivery for Dutch Defense Enhancement
Raytheon Technologies, now known as RTX, has announced a significant acceleration in the delivery times of its Patriot radar systems, reducing them by 25% in 2025. This move is part of a broader effort to ramp up production and secure critical materials ahead of orders. The Netherlands has recently ordered an additional Patriot air defense system from RTX, with a contract valued at USD627 million finalized on April 7, 2026. This contract includes the delivery of a fire unit consisting of a radar, command-and-control station, several launchers, and spare parts. The Dutch Ministry of Defence emphasized the system's role in providing air defense against high altitude, long-range threats, thereby contributing to the protection of Dutch territory and its allies.
