New Mexico's Voices for Children Launches Statewide Tour to Promote Youth Well-Being
New Mexico Voices for Children, in collaboration with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, has initiated a statewide tour to engage with community leaders, lawmakers, and service providers about the well-being of children. The tour aims to highlight the state's significant investments in childcare, education, healthcare, and family support, and to gather public input on maintaining progress. The initiative follows the launch of New Mexico's universal no-cost child care program in 2025, which removed income limits and copayments for state-funded assistance. The tour will visit multiple cities, including Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Las Cruces, with a virtual event planned for August 13.
