Two Individuals Charged in Tacoma Shooting that Wounded Two Juveniles

Alijah Joseph Jolicoeur Windfield and Trevon Joseph Simpson have been charged with multiple offenses in connection with an August 13 shooting in Tacoma, Washington. The charges include two counts each of first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of a stolen firearm. Jolicoeur Windfield also faces a charge of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. The incident, which occurred on the 1700 block of South 37th Street, resulted in a 17-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy sustaining non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to their left arms. Both victims were transported to a hospital for treatment. Witnesses reported seeing two men in dark clothing and ski masks exit a white 1996 Nissan Maxima, fire handguns towards a residence, and then flee in the vehicle. The Nissan Maxima was later found crashed and had been reported stolen. Police recovered two stolen handguns and 18 spent 9mm shell casings near the scene.
