Phoenix and southern Arizona are under a slight risk for severe thunderstorms tonight, as monsoon activity intensifies across the region. According to AZFamily, First Alert Weather Days have been issued from Monday through Thursday due to elevated storm chances. Blowing dust is possible Monday evening, with storm chances increasing to 30% overnight. By Tuesday and Wednesday night, the likelihood of storms rises to 50%, with impacts potentially lingering into Thursday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted the I-10 corridor between Phoenix and Tucson as a key area for potential severe weather, including strong wind gusts, heavy rain, and blowing dust. A flood watch is currently in effect for southern Arizona, including Tucson, and will expand to southeastern Arizona, including Cochise County, on Tuesday.
