Tim Ashe Wins Democratic Primary for Vermont Auditor Position
Tim Ashe, former Vermont Senate President, has won the Democratic primary for the state auditor position. With 13% of the votes counted, Ashe led with a significant margin over his opponent, Nick Graeter, securing 74% of the vote. Ashe, who has a background in affordable housing development and has served as deputy state auditor, will face H. Brook Paige, a perennial candidate on various GOP ballots, in the general election. Dan Towle, another candidate, dropped out of the race but still received 9% of the vote.
