Carnival Cruise Passenger Dies After Balcony Fall During Baja Mexico Trip
A passenger aboard the Carnival Firenze cruise ship died after falling from her balcony onto a lower deck. The incident occurred early on April 27, 2026, during a four-day Baja Mexico cruise that departed from Los Angeles. The woman's family, who were traveling with her, reported the incident to the ship's crew. Law enforcement boarded the ship at Catalina Island to gather information, as is customary in such cases. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Search and Rescue team assisted in recovering the body, and further inquiries have been directed to federal authorities. Carnival's Care Team is providing support to the family, who have since left the ship and returned home.
