Queens Intersection Chaos Prompts Lawmaker's Call for Crackdown

The incident occurred at the intersection of 69th Street and Eliot Avenue, where over 100 vehicles gathered, causing significant disruption. Participants were seen performing dangerous stunts, including a man waving a Palestinian flag while cars performed donuts around a street blaze. The event was captured on video, showing flames and reckless driving, which ended as police arrived. Councilman Phil Wong condemned the incident, describing it as an attack on the community's quality of life. He criticized the NYPD's response and called for a meeting with Commissioner Jessica Tisch to address the ongoing issue in Queens. Despite the police arriving quickly, the participants dispersed, and only one citation was issued.
