Dale John Leinonen, a respected figure in Wheeling, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at Harbor House Memory Care. Born in 1935, Leinonen was known for his service in the U.S. Army, where he contributed to preparing the ski racecourse for the 1960 Winter Olympics.
