Riverside County Wildfire Nears Full Containment as Evacuations Lifted
A wildfire in Riverside County, California, known as the Springs Fire, has expanded to approximately 4,176 acres but is now 95% contained, according to fire officials. Initially, the fire was only 25% contained, prompting evacuation orders for numerous neighborhoods on Saturday morning. These orders have since been lifted as containment efforts have progressed. The fire was driven by Santa Ana winds, which reached gusts of up to 45 mph. Fortunately, no structures have been reported as damaged or destroyed, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
