Covington Public Schools Aware of Prior Incidents Involving Substitute Teacher Before Arrest
Leaders in Covington Public Schools were reportedly aware of previous questionable incidents involving substitute teacher Bryan Bundy prior to his recent arrest. Bundy, 61, was arrested 11 days ago for 'criminal abuse in the second degree with a child 12 or under.' Police allege that Bundy grabbed a non-verbal 5-year-old boy by the arm, dragged him, flung him toward a wall, kicked his communication device, and then kicked the boy towards the wall. An open records request revealed two earlier incidents of potentially inappropriate behavior. In March 2023, a principal at Biggs Preschool requested Bundy be removed from their substitute list due to 'inappropriate interactions for preschoolers.'
