Air Canada Pilot Charged for Flying Without Proper License for 16 Years
Geoffrey Wall, a former Air Canada pilot, has been charged for flying without the necessary airline transport pilot license from 2009 to 2025. Despite holding a commercial pilot license, Wall was promoted to captain and flew over 900 flights without the required credentials. The issue was discovered during a documentation check, leading to his removal from active duty and subsequent charges. Air Canada has stated that safety was not compromised due to regular training and checks, but emphasized the seriousness of the licensing breach. The airline has conducted an audit and found no other instances of non-compliance.
