DP World Joins Maritime Association for Clean Seas to Combat Ocean Plastic Waste
DP World has become a member of the Maritime Association for Clean Seas (MACS), an initiative aimed at reducing plastic waste in global supply chains and addressing ocean pollution. The association unites various maritime stakeholders, including shipping companies and ports, to tackle plastic and operational waste on a large scale. DP World plans to leverage its operational expertise and global reach to implement scalable solutions that minimize plastic leakage across the maritime value chain, from port operations to inland logistics. This initiative aligns with the International Maritime Organization's Plastic Marine Litter Action Plan, promoting collaboration among members to share data, implement best practices, and contribute to certified plastic recovery projects.
