FBI Highlights Tactics of Most-Wanted Fraudsters, Urges Public Vigilance
The FBI has updated its list of most-wanted fraudsters, highlighting individuals involved in various schemes that have defrauded victims of millions, and in one case, over a billion dollars. The list includes individuals accused of wire fraud, mail fraud, mortgage fraud, healthcare fraud, and illegal gambling operations. FBI Director Kash Patel emphasized the importance of public assistance in locating these fugitives, noting the significant financial impact of their crimes. The list features names such as Rodney Dean Allen, Christopher Burns, and Herbert Kimble, with the latter accused of a healthcare fraud scheme involving over $1.2 billion in fraudulent Medicare charges. The FBI also warns the public about common fraud schemes, including investment scams, romance scams, and business email compromises.
