SafeHeart Provides Lifeline for PTSD Survivors of Nova Music Festival Massacre
Maayan Dee, a survivor of the Nova music festival massacre on October 7, shared her personal story at The Jerusalem Post's Annual Conference in New York City. Dee highlighted the work of SafeHeart, an organization founded to address the psychological challenges faced by survivors of the massacre. SafeHeart, Israel's largest mental health provider for such survivors, offers trauma treatment, counseling, support groups, and long-term mental health care free of charge. The organization was established in response to the attacks and supports over 1,500 survivors monthly. Dee's story, introduced by SafeHeart Global Ambassador Ori Schnitzer, emphasized the ongoing recovery journey for thousands of survivors nearly three years after the attack.
